The Biggest International Event in Japan—Expat Expo Tokyo 2022

Living overseas is becoming more popular every day. More people are taking extended vacations abroad, and many foreigners are choosing to move to Japan to work as English teachers, start businesses, or work in the corporate world. As a result, expat communities have grown in size and scope, particularly in cities like Tokyo, Osaka, Yokohama, and Sendai. If you’re an international resident in Japan, you’ll want to know about Expat Expo Tokyo 2022. The event is from November 25–26. This expo focuses on businesses and services that help expats make the most of their lives in Japan. The first Expat Expo Tokyo was in 2020, and the event has continued every year since then.

Countries with many expats in Japan—such as the United States, Switzerland, Thailand, and China—host events aimed at international residents. Inspired by these events, The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Japan, supported by Minato Ward, approached Innovent Inc. to create an event that can equip foreigners with the right resources and tools to experience Japan to the fullest. There will be 90 companies at Expat Expo Tokyo 2022 and more than 60 companies at the 2nd International Job Fair. Some of the companies at the event offer support services such as real estate, education, healthcare, financial advice, and visa support. Some of the companies sell items like sake, traditional Japanese crafts, and international food. In addition, the Disaster Management Bureau will have a workshop about what to do in emergencies such as typhoons or earthquakes. You’ll also get to talk to local travel associations, travel agencies, and hotel groups.

World Food Fair From Embassies in Japan

Try authentic international food at the World Food Fair. Ten embassies will participate in the fair, including Mexico, Lebanon, Botswana, Ukraine, and the United Arab Emirates. Each country will share its cuisine, giving visitors the opportunity to try food and beverages from around the world. This marks a distinct change from last year’s Expat Expo Tokyo, which only featured Japanese food and drinks.
