Sakeist®︎ was founded in 2020 as an app designed to connect global consumers, beverage industry professionals, and sake breweries. The inspiration behind the business came from the founder, Anna Akizuki’s study of sake’s long history which motivated her to create a platform that would expand its global presence. The company recently launched Sakeist®︎ Box, a premium sake subscription service in collaboration with top French sommelier Xavier Thuizat. With the service, subscribers receive two bottles of premium sake each month and access to a webinar led by Thuizat and the brewers of the selected sake.
