Memorable not just for its name, this north-facing beach offers an amazing view of Mt. Fuji and is located on an enclosed bay, ensuring gentle waves. The beach is very clean and has its own parking lot, hot showers and toilets. There is also a boat rental service, as well as a seafood restaurant just across the way. Despite its proximity to town, it maintains a very peaceful atmosphere.

This beach has plenty of parking, choose from its north or south parking lots. There is a conveniently located beach hut where you can rent gear like parasols and boogie boards, and even try some of Katakai Beach’s famous Grilled Hamaguri Clams. When you are ready to leave, head to the free showers and washrooms on the south side. There are a few beachside restaurants, many more food options across the street and parking spaces can be found even on weekends.
Chigasaki Beach (Kanagawa)
