OTO’s Take [no. 2] Asaki Yumemishi – Never Just a Dream

Sponsored by MSC Cruises Japan

What was it like living as a Japanese aristocrat in the 11th Century?

On November 15, inspired by The Tale of Genji, the classic novel from the Heian era (794-1185), we will journey back to the 11th Century for a unique dining experience.

This exclusive dinner will gather together leaders in Japan from different industries and backgrounds with Japanese artisans, for a night of authentic Heian era traditions. The event will highlight the rich potential of Japanese craftsmanship and culture, which is often overlooked but has the power to bring immense value to businesses worldwide.

A percentage of the ticket sales will be donated to YouMeWe in support of orphanages in Japan.

OTO’s Take

OTO’s Take is the only premier event series hosted by GenZs in Tokyo.

Drawing inspiration from different elements of Japanese history, tradition and culture, we reimagine how tradition would look in the 21st century.

This is a new way to learn, get inspired and connect to Japanese culture through a fresh lens.
