Welcome in the New Year with Foreign Chambers of Commerce Events

By Jake Benjamin Roiter

In the wake of the new year, a feeling of camaraderie lingers around Japan, characterized by the spirit of shinnenkai. Unlike bonenkai, which take place during the last few weeks of December to forget the year that is about to pass, shinnenkai intends to welcome a new one. January is thus the perfect month to get into the spirit of celebration. As such, foreign chambers of commerce across Japan are welcoming another year of prosperity in business with special events on the social calendar.
