Exploring the World of Education

GoConnect grew out of Custom Media’s long-standing relationships among Japan’s diverse global community. And perhaps nowhere is this more apparent than with our connection to international schools and education that we have developed through many years of producing magazines. We’ve now taken that focus to an entirely digital platform, while maintaining the same quality and insight that we once delivered in print.

With this in mind, GoConnect is proud to be sharing a fascinating array of content about education and international schools that are redefining the standards for children’s education. The lead piece looks at the way that international schools are bringing artificial intelligence (AI) in its many forms to the classroom.

For more information in a similar vein, you can also read this article by The Daily Telegraph’s Japan Correspondent Julian Ryall, who spoke with some of the country’s most prominent international schools about how they are using technology to prepare their students for the future.

And you’ll find a wealth of opportunities to learn more about specific schools in detail. For the youngest learners, there are institutions such as the International House of Waldorf-Steiner, MEES International School, and ai INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL. We also had the chance to talk with some of the leaders at Malvern College Tokyo, which began teaching its first students just over a month ago, and we explore in greater depth how the Canadian Academy is using AI in its curriculum.

Visiting Aoba-Japan International School, we find out how it is preparing its students to move forward into their futures with confidence. Meanwhile, Harrow International School Appi Japan, located in scenic Iwate Prefecture, is offering a full boarding experience that makes the most of the great outdoors while offering a world-class education. And we also see how EF Academies around the globe are providing students with the opportunity to create international ties while pursuing academic excellence.

And finally, you can explore our A-List, which includes a wide range of schools that are serving Japan’s international community.

From our last education special, you can also find the following pieces, which include coverage of an event that Malvern College Tokyo held at the British Embassy Tokyo; a look at early education at The British School in Tokyo, which opened its new campus this fall; and an article about Gymboree’s engaging, child-centered programs.

We hope you enjoy exploring all the material that we’ve put together for this special, and that it reveals the diverse learning opportunities that Japan has to offer young minds.
