Discover the world of Kendo at Teppen Kendo Festival!, a one-day cultural event at the foot of Tokyo Tower where international residents and visitors can watch, learn about and experience this Japanese martial art firsthand.

Highlights include a free Kendo experience for beginners and a paid Kendo Armor Dressing & Photo Experience, giving visitors the chance to wear authentic Kendo armor and take commemorative photos at Tokyo Tower.

The festival will also feature Kendo demonstrations, an LED bamboo sword experience, Kendo-related exhibits and goods, and a screening of the Japanese Kendo movie “Top Swords Couple” with English subtitles.

No previous Kendo experience is required, and visitors are welcome to drop in throughout the day without a reservation.
