Celebrate half a century of journalism with the Foreign Press Center Japan 50th Anniversary Photo Exhibition at the Nippon Press Center Building.

Since its founding in 1976, the Foreign Press Center Japan (FPCJ) has supported international media in reporting on Japan and helped share the country’s diverse facets with the world. This special anniversary exhibition looks back over these last 50 years through a curated selection of photographs.

The photos on display reflect not only a record of the FPCJ’s activities throughout different time periods, but also capture key societal changes and the evolving international situation from the perspective of members of the foreign media.

Whether you are a media professional, a history enthusiast or simply curious about Japan’s journey over the past five decades, come explore this unique visual collection in Tokyo. Admission is completely free, and no advance registration is required.
