Fujisawa Beach Cleaning Project
The Fujisawa Beach Cleaning Project returns this fall with its flagship Corporate Beach Day of Service, organized by SEGO Initiative as part of the International Coastal Cleanup. The program is designed for companies looking to bring a volunteer team to the coast for a structured day of environmental action, team building and community engagement.
The focus is practical and measurable: cleaning, collecting and counting debris washed ashore while contributing to citizen science efforts connected to Ocean Conservancy’s International Coastal Cleanup. The fall edition also coincides with UN World Cleanup Day, giving participating companies a direct link to a wider global movement.
Beyond the cleanup itself, the day includes an educational orientation, wellness activities such as yoga or workout sessions, networking time and light hospitality. Tools, supplies, equipment and volunteer insurance are included, so corporate sponsors can take part without needing to manage the logistics themselves.
Corporate Sponsorship and Team Participation
Participation is through corporate sponsorship, not individual registration. The package covers a dedicated volunteer cleanup team of up to 50 members, with teams larger than 30 asked to contact SEGO Initiative in advance. Sponsorship is ¥770,000, excluding 10% VAT, and includes cleanup tools, supplies, equipment, volunteer insurance, educational orientation, wellness activities, light breakfast, beverages and an aperitif lunch.
