Club 360 Practices Social Distancing while Running Two Facilities
Now the lockdown is almost over, many businesses are drifting back but they are taking serious precautions—such as social distancing. It can be a tough call, especially in the health and fitness industry, but not for one of our Partners, Club 360. Discover on Connect how they manage to operate two facilities simultaneously, safely and effectively.
Club 360 is a popular fitness club and community that focuses on personal training, boxing, and group classes as well as physiotherapy, sports massage, and Pilates.
Online Telehealth Services
The state of emergency meant a complete shutdown of Club 360’s two facilities. They took a cautious approach and stopped all face-to-face activities including outdoor training and physiotherapy.
But that did not stop them from helping their community stay fit. They set up online telehealth services as well as online personal training and classes via Zoom.
Back to the Clubs
They are now back working out at both clubs, but with strict cleaning procedures and reduced traffic flow. Here are some of their safety procedures:
- Disinfecting all equipment after every use with hospital-grade disinfectant
- Cleaning the facility every two hours
- Taking the temperature of everyone entering
- Staff and clients who have been abroad in the previous 14 days, or have signs of illness, will be declined entry
- All staff members wear masks
- Cashless until further notice—credit cards are accepted online
As Club 360 opened a second facility this year, they have used it to their advantage by spreading staff and clients over both operations. This has helped keep the numbers of people in the gym lower than recommended—even at peak hours. They also schedule massage and physiotherapy appointments 20-30 minutes apart, to allow thorough cleaning and reduced traffic flow, with classes limited to a maximum of six members.
Such thorough policies show how mindful Club 360 is of their members’ safety and health.
Communication is key
Club 360’s Managing Director and Co-founder Nathan Schmid says that effective communication is crucial to keep things running smoothly. “Communicate with your team and clients as clearly and as quickly as possible. This has been a highly dynamic situation that has been challenging given the murky information coming from governing bodies, but once we received all available information, we communicated our stance and plans as soon as possible.”
If you are eager to get back to the gym but are still cautious about social distancing, we highly recommend Club 360. They are offering Connect Members a free “30-minute Personal Training Special”.
