Whether dining alone, catching up over lunch, or savoring a drink alongside your beloved canine companion, there is something for everyone. Today, we feature the city’s best dog-friendly eateries—serving up delectable dishes amidst the perfect ambience—that are sure to hit the spot.

Dog DEPT + Cafe (Asakusa Sumida River Terrace)

Located in historic Asakusa, this two-level complex is a one-stop shop for dog lovers. The first floor sells clothing and accessories for adults, kids, and dogs, while the second floor offers casual dining. Choose between the cozy indoors with its comfy sofas or terrace seating by the Sumida River with scenic cityscape views of Skytree. You can enjoy a varied menu of salads, pasta, grilled meats, and sauteed dishes as well as your favorite sweet treats and coffee concoctions. And of course, allow your furry companion to indulge in a meal from the restaurant’s menu of doggy delights. They also offer party packages for your pup. Water bowls are provided; however, it's advised to bring your own dog mat or towel. Given the cafe’s increased popularity, having been featured in the Japanese TV series Lovely Lie, reservations are recommended. All are welcome, whether you’re accompanied by your furry friend or you’re just a lone traveler seeking to unwind after exploring the Sensoji Temple area. Craft Burger & Grill Jiro

With its American diner-meets-picnic decor, this eatery provides a welcoming atmosphere. Known for its take on all-American classics, as well as novelties such as the Senju Green Onion Burger, the cozy establishment satisfies both foreign and local tastes. Fully equipped with dog-friendly facilities, including seatbelts, water bowls, and a special menu, this restaurant ensures that man’s best friend is guaranteed an equally enjoyable dining experience.

Ivy Cafe & Bar

A hop away from Yoyogi Station, this dine-with-your-dog cafe offers your standard fare, including salads, pasta, steak, curry, and desserts. It’s located at the popular T-Site complex, and reservations are highly recommended. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served from an eclectic menu of international cuisines. Choose between elegant indoor seating or the enchanting outdoors surrounded by lush greenery where dogs are welcome to accompany you on the terrace.
