About JMEC 

JMEC is a part-time, English-language program and competition backed by 18 foreign chambers of commerce in Japan. Designed for full-time professionals and expats in Japan, JMEC offers a practical way to build business skills, grow your network and gain real-world experience without putting your career on pause.

The seven-month curriculum is split into two phases. The first phase (November–January), referred to as a “mini-MBA” program, begins with a series of intensive Saturday lectures. This is led by senior executives covering finance, market research and Japanese business strategy. In the second phase (January–May), participants are placed in diverse teams to act as consultants for a real corporate client, researching and writing a comprehensive market-entry plan judged and awarded by industry experts.
