OSAKA COMEDY FESTIVAL 2026 brings three days of comedy and live performance to Osaka’s Namba area from October 10 to 12.

For international visitors, one of the festival’s main highlights is its non-verbal comedy, featuring visual performances designed to cross language barriers without relying heavily on spoken Japanese. The festival organizers specifically highlight performers including WES-P and Tonikaku Akarui Yasumura (TONY) as particularly accessible for audiences who do not speak Japanese.

The free Street Performance program will run at Namba Hiroba from 10am to 5pm throughout the festival and features GABEZ, THE TOKYO IDIOTS, Akira Ishida of NON STYLE and other performers.

The festival also includes theater performances at SPACE14 in Shinsaibashi PARCO, as well as circus-related programming connected to Cirque du Soleil. Performers selected through Cirque du Soleil workshops and auditions held from October 7 to 9 are scheduled to appear during the festival on October 12.
