For the month of October, the FCCJ presents: The Japanese Boys of Summer, a photography exhibition by Los Angeles-based photographer Mark Edward Harris spotlighting Japanese Major League Baseball stars Shohei Ohtani, Yoshinobu Yamamoto and Roki Sasaki of the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Harris has photographed across all seven continents and more than 100 countries, with work appearing in publications including LIFE, Vanity Fair, National Geographic Traveler, Time and The New York Times. His extensive career includes photography books such as Wanderlust, Inside North Korea, Inside Iran, The Way of the Japanese Bath and 3.11.

A special reception and talk show will take place on October 6, featuring Harris alongside author and baseball historian Robert Whiting. The discussion will explore what happens when Japan and Major League Baseball collide, with additional stories including Jackie Robinson.
