Azabudai Hills Christmas Market
Get ready for the holiday season at Azabudai Hills in Minato-ku, Tokyo! From November 23 to December 25, one of Tokyo’s most exciting shopping and entertainment complexes, managed by Mori Building, will transform the central plaza into a winter wonderland featuring 17 unique stores, including Germany’s Käthe Wohlfahrt, known for its Christmas decorations, and gourmet offerings from Kobe’s GOOD GOOD MEAT and Minimal – Bean to Bar Chocolate.
Enjoy a stunning Christmas tree from Tsumagoi Village, illuminated with five unique displays by Hisaki Kato. The Central Walk will become “Christmas Street”, perfect for photos and Santa sightings on select days: November 24, December 1, December 8, and December 25.

Tokyo Christmas Market 2024
Supported by the German Embassy and German Tourism, the Tokyo Christmas Market offers an authentic taste of German holiday traditions in the heart of the city at Meiji Jingu Gaien. Attendees can enjoy the festive atmosphere featuring a traditional Christmas Pyramid, a symbol rooted in German folklore, and a stunning 14-meter Christmas tree imported from Germany.
The market will feature a variety of stalls selling handmade decorations, festive foods and drinks such as hot chocolate and beer. With live performances, including German choirs, the event will be perfect for celebrating the season. Ticket prices vary, with special rates during peak holiday days, and the market is open daily, offering extended hours for evening visits.

Roppongi Hills Christmas Market
Each December, Roppongi becomes a magical holiday destination with its annual Christmas Market. Located in Roppongi Hills, this market is inspired by the renowned Stuttgart Christmas market in Germany. Visitors can enjoy a charming atmosphere filled with tastefully decorated stalls, twinkling lights and the delightful scents of mulled wine and seasonal spices, making it an ideal spot for holiday shopping or anyone wishing to embrace the festive spirit in Tokyo. Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse Christmas Market
If you’re looking to feel transported to Europe, the 15th Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse Christmas Market will feature authentic German-style huts set up in the charming cobblestone plaza. This festive market provides a delightful experience for families and couples as they shop for holiday treasures while anticipating Christmas.
Visitors can find a variety of Christmas decorations, including tree ornaments and intricately crafted wooden dolls from Germany’s Erzgebirge region. In addition, traditional festive treats such as sliced Stollen, hot mulled wine and German sausages will be available. A beautifully decorated Christmas tree will adorn the plaza, creating a warm and inviting holiday atmosphere throughout the Red Brick Warehouse area.

Shibuya Blue Cave and Christmas Market
Originally an event in Nakameguro since 2014, the Blue Cave has now become a winter staple in Shibuya. In 2023, it will introduce a Christmas market for the first time. This year’s stunning 800-meter light display will feature approximately 770,000 LED lights, illuminating the route from Shibuya Koen Dori to Yoyogi Park, just south of the Yoyogi Park Events Square.
Visitors can enjoy a variety of festive food and handmade crafts at the market. Expect large crowds, as previous years have seen around 2 million visitors in just one month. Embrace the lively atmosphere as part of the fun, while still keeping personal space in mind!
Date & Time: December 1–25. The Christmas market will be open from 3pm – 9pm, and the lights will turn on from 5pm – 10pm.
